Duck Island

Berges's work to implement sustainable community enhancement in Duck Island began 15 years ago. Duck Island is a traditional Cleveland neighborhood, perfectly situated for mixed-use, transit-orientated living. The work now extends to Ohio City, with projects along W 30th St and Monroe, and on Lorain Ave.  Through new home construction, renovation projects, and partnership with community development organizations, Berges is leveraging resources to improve the quality of life for current and future residents of Duck Island and surrounding neighborhoods.  The vision to create a neighborhood redevelopment model that demonstrates the definitive example of sustainable city living in Cleveland, Ohio continues.
